Long reference note

This note exists to be the fattest spine on the shelf. It is deliberately padded with paragraphs that describe, in mildly excessive detail, what a reference note is for and how it should be maintained over time so that the word-count scaling in the library has a clear outlier to size against.

Section 1

A reference note collects stable facts you expect to look up more than once. It is not a journal and not a task list. Keep the heading structure shallow, prefer tables for anything with more than three rows, and date any claim that could go stale. When a section grows past a screen, split it into its own note and leave a link behind. Section 1 of this padded note repeats that advice with small variations so the word count climbs steadily without the note becoming pure lorem ipsum.
